More About Free MaX UC
All businesses in Central New York and surrounding areas are eligible to receive MaX UC, hosted soft-phone licenses, and MaX Meeting, 100-participant video conferencing, at no cost. This includes new customers and current customers expanding on current services, through June 30, 2020.
What’s a soft-phone?
A soft-phone is a software that allows you to make phone calls over the Internet using your computer or mobile device. MaX UC provides this and many advanced features of your office phone system, giving your employees an easy and secure way to collaborate with customers and one another while working remotely.
What is MaX Meeting?
MaX Meeting is a video conferencing software that allows your employees to create and schedule video meetings with up to 100-participants. Comparable to Zoom Pro, our free MaX Meeting offers no meeting time limits, collaboration features, Outlook integration, personal meeting IDs, and so much more.

Northland is not responsible for the reliability of customer’s network and Internet if they are not on Northland’s network. It is the responsibility of the customer to discontinue service with Northland prior to July 1, 2020 to avoid billing at the standard Business Unlimited Premium rate.
911/E-911 EMERGENCY SERVICES: The terminal equipment provided by Northland, which may use VOIP internet protocol signaling, requires connection to network services provided by Northland in order that the location of the calling party is accurately displayed for Emergency Service Providers such as 911/E-911 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs).Use of network services obtained from a provider other than Northland, in connection with the terminal equipment provided under this agreement, may not display the location of the caller, and result in the inability of Emergency Service Providers to adequately respond to emergencies at the location from which emergency calls are initiated. VoIP calls originated through movable terminal equipment at locations other than the registered primary use location of such equipment (transient calls) may not accurately notify Emergency Service Providers such as 911/E-911 PSAPs of the location from which an emergency call originates. Callers temporarily or permanently using movable terminal equipment for transient calls at locations other than the registered primary use location are required to notify their service providers of intended use of such service, prior to its use from a location other than the primary use location.
Liability of Northland Communications: The liability and obligation of the carrier to the Customer may be specifically controlled and limited by such tariffs, which provide that carrier shall have no liability of any nature in the absence of gross negligence or willful misconduct, and that, in any event, regardless of the form of the action, whether for breach of contract, warranty, negligence, strict liability, tort, or otherwise, the Customer’s exclusive remedy, and the total liability of carrier and/or any supplier of services to carrier, arising out of or in any way connected directly or indirectly, with this Agreement, for any cause whatsoever, including but not limited to any failure or disruption of service provided hereunder, shall be limited to payment by carrier in any amount equivalent to the proportionate charge to the customer for the period of service during which such mistakes, omission, interruptions, delays, errors or defects in transmission occur. In no event shall carrier and/or any supplier of services be liable to customer for any special, consequential or incidental damages.
