(Utica + Syracuse, NY – July 8, 2019) – Northland Communications is pleased to announce four new employees and eight internal position transfers.
Keri Diamond, formerly in the Customer Support Department, has accepted the Provisioning Specialist position in the Network Services Department. In this new position, Keri will be responsible for provisioning customer orders and interfacing with various departments, customers, and vendors.
Maureen McCarthy Tracy is now the Vice President of Community & Connections. Maureen oversees Northland’s Community Sponsorship Program and works to create quality connections between our partners in the not-for-profit community, as well as leveraging relationships with Centerstate CEO, The Tech Garden, UAS CNY (Drone Corridor), MV Edge, MACNY, Builders Exchanges, as well as local Chambers of Commerce. Maureen also builds and expands relationships in the business community by leveraging the latest technologies through Northland’s robust fiber network, products and services.
A Technical Project Coordinator position has been created and Northland’s own John MacLean has accepted this position. John has worked for Northland since 1995, starting in the Albany Key Department. He was a Technician for the first 7 years and has since been a Supervisor of multiple groups within the Operations Department.
Gary Destefanis has accepted the Service Supervisor position effective Monday, April 22nd. Gary has worked for Northland since 2009 in a variety of positions in the NOC and Operations Department, with his most recent position being the Dispatch & CLEC Supervisor within the Network Services Department. In his new role, Gary will supervise the Service Team, Dispatch Team, and CLEC Team.
Katy Netzband, former Marketing Coordinator, has accepted the Recruitment and Training Specialist position, effective April 15th. Katy joined Northland last August and has brought her many talents to Northland. Her new role assists with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of all Team Members which ultimately contributes to the continual development of a high performing work-force.
Bryon Adams recently assumed the role of Installation Technician. Bryon has worked at Northland in the NOC Department for 4+ years. In his new role, Bryon will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and programming all Northland equipment, applications and services.
Peter Cannella recently joined our team as Technical Support Specialist. Prior to beginning his career at Northland, he worked for Visionworks for 10 years, first coordinating I.T. in new stores and then to the telecom department where he remotely supported 600 stores.
Megan Chittenden recently joined the Northland team as Provisioning Specialist. She received her bachelor’s degree in architectural business management from SUNY Cobleskill and gained experience working as a Finance & Accounting Specialist for White’s Farm Supply. In her new role, she will be responsible for provisioning customer orders and interfacing with various departments, customers, and vendors.
Keara Conners recently joined Northland’s growing Marketing team as Marketing Coordinator. She brings 10 years of combined sales experience in the telecom/tech industry, previously working for both Usherwood Technology and Verizon Wireless. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Utica College and, in her new role, will focus on using data analytics to support, direct and enhance Northland’s marketing efforts.
Jennifer Montalbano, previously Inside Sales Specialist at Northland, recently accepted a new role as Account Representative. She will use her Inside Sales experience, as well as her 20 years of sales and marketing experience, in this new role to generate revenue for Northland by adding new customers and by providing Northland products and services that will aid in their business success.
Kandy Lee-Hammon joined Northland’s Network Operations Center (NOC) as Network Services Technician. She brings 18 years of experience working in Data Processing for Walmart. In her new role, she will work primarily with customers and team members to resolve service issues and complications.
Northland is currently looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician, Customer Support Representative, Account Representative, Inside Sales Specialist, Senior Account Executive, and Network Services Technician to join its growing team.
